Daybreak Excursions is a small company that delivers big outdoor expedition and adventure experiences. We are based out of Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas. Many of our daily excursions are to the local crags and mountains all within a 30 minute to 2 hour drive from our home in Quitman, Arkansas.

Daybreak Excursions strives to stay small. I love guiding small groups. An optimum group would be a party of 8 for any daily excursion. When I am guiding, I like for it to be challenging as well as positively motivating. I have found that with smaller groups there is less distraction, increased ability to absorb the instruction, and time to apply that instruction to the task at hand.

Rock Climbing
Daybreak Excursions provides rock climbing instruction and guided climbing adventures. Our menu of services includes:
Introductory rock climbing instruction at local crags: All rock climbing gear is provided.
Anchor Class: Learn to build Top Rope and Rappel anchors utilizing natural protection.
Lead Climbing: We can provide instruction on how to place traditional protection.

Caving
This adventure can be during any season of the year. In the spring and summer months the caves are nice and cool and during the fall and winter the caves are a comfortable 55 degrees. Daybreak Excursions provides guided caving exploration for small groups. These are wild caves and great for the inexperienced explorer. Some caves are very easy while others require a front loading of rope work for rappelling and ascending to gain accesses to some caves hidden features. All gear is provided.

Kayak Rentals
Cool off! Daybreak Excursions rents single person flatwater kayaks for local use here in Quitman, Arkansas. Rental includes PFD, paddle and kayak. We shuttle the kayaks to your put in point and then pick them up at your take out. We do not shuttle people, just kayaks. That means when you rent you need to consider having a vehicle at both the put in and the take out.
EXCURSION PACKAGE PRICING
Daybreak Excursions pricing is volume based. We only work with smaller groups of 10 or less for climbing and rappelling.
Caving the largest group we will work with is 8.
Rock Climbing and Rappelling pricing.
$225 for 1 person
$125 per person for 2
$90 per person for 3
$75 per person for 4
$65 per person 4-10
*Anchor Building Class is 2 days and is $375 per person. (you wont need a guide anymore for top roping after this)
Caving Pricing
$225 for 1 person
$125 per person for 2
$90 per person for 3
$75 per person for 3 -8
Kayak Rentals
$65 per kayak per day.
Reservations
A $50 deposit is required to secure a reservation. Please contact the office by phone or email to make a reservation. Once we secure a reservation an itinerary for the day as well as directions and confirmation will be provided.
Kayak rentals just need to call and confirm with at least 48 hours’ notice. Cash only and pay prior to putting in at your departure point.
Daybreak Excursions schedules year round weather permitting. Peak times for rock climbing, rappelling and kayaking are generally spring through fall.
